Beer bowling is a sacred and holy game that would be best described as an extreme drinking game sport.
Two teams of two members compete in a raging battle.
All you need to play is:
- 4 players
- 4 chairs
- 2 bottles
- 1 ball
- 1 judge
To compete on the official ladder, you will need to create an account.
All players in a game (including the judge) must be registered on the site for the game to count.
After registering, your account must be approved by an admin.

Both teams position themselves directly facing their opponents.
You sit next to your teammate with a bottle between your chairs.
The objective is to simply hit the opposing team's bottle with the ball, knocking it over.
- The judge decides everything unless otherwise stated in the rules. The judge has
ultimative rights and can change every rule, as long as it is stated beforehand.
- After every shot, the ball is given to the other team.
- One player from one team cannot bowl twice in a row.
- An official match is played in a BO9 format (first to 5 goals). If both teams agree, a second half can be played where the teams switch sides. In case of a tie, the judge can decide between sudden-death-bowling or a third BO9.
- If a team's bottle is knocked over, they have to share one whole beer to be drunk
immediately. Each team member must only take one draught to finish the beer.
- The ball must hit your own half of the field before the enemy's. Otherwise will
result in a penalty.
- All penalties will involve drinking unless the judge makes an exception.
- All players must always have a beer of their own open at all times (hyggeøl).
-
You must ask the judge for permission for everything you do. Exceptions:
- Getting out of your chair to fetch a new beer.
- Picking up the ball if it's in range from your chair.
- Handing over the ball to your team mate.
- Unless a point has just been scored, no more than 60 seconds can pass until the next
shot.
